Good Morning,
This past Thursday we lost a member of our Rue Dumaine family.
Ms. Carly Hughley worked with us at Rue Dumaine for 5 years, 4 months. I lovingly referred to her as the “Potato Queen” of the RUE as she had become the go-to gal for any potato component for the core menu and specials i.e. sweet potato-Yukon gratin, Yukon-goat cheese galette, scallop fingerlings, ect. Among many other daily tasks Carly also held the responsibility of making sure family meal was ready for the staff by 4pm daily. There were a few items she would rotate throughout a 2 week period, Tom’s most favorite was her fried chicken. There has already been a discussion or two about her secret to making it perfect nearly every time. She will be dearly missed by her co-workers, sales people, and delivery drivers whom she had created relationships with. Do me a favor and send up a prayer or simply a thought to her family and the young son she left behind. We will keep her memory alive in our hearts.
Rue Dumaine is NOT participating in Winter Restaurant Week 2013. Year around, every Thursday, all night long we offer a 3 course Prix Fixe menu for $30 or less, please consider joining us.
Thanks for allowing us to satisfy your appetite for good food, Anne
